There is no functional railroad at Cancun, Quintana roo. Therefore, trains are not included in the transport system of the region.

Cancun just started their The Tren Maya or the Mayan Train project last June 2022.

This will be an additional transport system in Mexico that will link cities in the country. It is a 1,525 kilometer loop that will connect Quintana roo, Campeche, Tabasco, Chiapas and Yucatan with 17 stations.

The Mayan Train is scheduled to be completed in the late months of 2023.
